Dear
#MedTwitter and
#EMbound students, couple tips as you are deciding on your rank list for
#Match2021:

Rank programs exactly how you want and where you would prefer to go. The algorithm is *truly* in your favor. Don’t let impostor syndrome kick in...
1/

If you plan to send a letter of intent to your #1 program, just e-mail that one place. No one wants to know they are your 2nd choice... Don’t lie and tell multiple places they are your “#1” - people talk, and in medicine we value honesty, sincerity, and professionalism. 2/

Still undecided? It’s normal! You have time, don’t rush! Talk to your mentors. Reach out and speak to more residents, faculty. Have all your questions answered. Ask. Tough. Questions. Those who care, will respond. No one wants an unhappy resident in their program. 3/

Choosing where to spend the next 3-4 years of your life is a big decision. Focus on the people, the fit, the culture of the program, and the location of where you want to be. Did you feel happy interviewing with them? 4/

More importantly, CONGRATS on being almost done!!!! You will earn your MD or DO degree soon! We are so excited to see you join us, enjoy the rest of 4th year, don’t stress reviewing the Krebs cycle before intern year

, and stay safe
