While twitter was re-litigating a legislative strategy that never left online spaces to join up with activists and organizers in the real world, National Nurses United just held a Medicare for All Strategy Conference with movement leaders. Here's how you can help: (Thread)
Something I haven't seen in recent online discussion is the fact that the Jayapal/Sanders Medicare For All bill will be reintroduced to the House and Senate in just a few short weeks. We must hammer every congressional & Senate office with demands to support the bill right now.
NNU needs District Leaders in every congressional district in the country to grow the strength and size of the Medicare for All movement locally, help confirm original cosponsors, and build the foundation for long-term, strategic pressure campaigns. https://act.medicare4all.org/signup/district-leader/?t=1&akid=85106%2E792055%2E86BnIa
Members of the NNU M4A Rapid Response team will get first notice about updates and will be ready to promote news, alerts, and calls to action both online and in their communities. This is one of the best ways you can take action in the coming weeks! https://act.medicare4all.org/signup/mfa-rr/?t=2&akid=85106%2E792055%2E86BnIa
You can also join the Text/Call teams from the safety of your own home. These teams will reach out to voters in some of our highest priority districts to let voters know where their Representative stands on Medicare for All. https://act.medicare4all.org/signup/volunteer-from-home/?t=3&akid=85106%2E792055%2E86BnIa
In March, NNU launches their Medicare for All Leadership School to support and develop leaders who want more organizing training. Does this sound like you, or someone you know? Fill out the interest form and forward to people who may be interested! https://act.medicare4all.org/signup/mfa-leadership-school/?t=4&akid=85106%2E792055%2E86BnIa
Finally, if you'd like a recording of the Medicare for All National Strategy Call that took place a few days ago, hosted by National Nurses United, email [email protected]
