This vaccine has already been rolled out across the UK, including across Northern Ireland.

It would also, obviously, throw a real spanner in the works for the Irish government’s vaccination plans.
The original Lancet study clearly stated that they ‘cannot yet infer efficacy in older adults’ (as those over the age of 55 constituted only 12.5% of the trial data).

And yet: the UK govt rolled out the vaccine to precisely these groups.
