jimin confessed that for many years (mainly through 2013-2014) he only wanted to be perceived as a “manly man” and only let himself be that. no makeup other than eyeliner and no clothes he fully wanted to be in etc.
even though he hid behind this version of himself for a long time, he was still seen as a soft-hearted man
during 2015, he slowly became more comfortable with damning conformity. this is one of my favorite things that he’s said
in 2016, he started to wear smokey eyes for wings era. this was the dawn of park mf jimin in all of his glory
in late 2016 he started to blossom, in 2017 he was on the front of a japanese article for breaking gender norms
he started to wear flashier and brighter things. he became happier as he emerged during love yourself era, he learned from their own campaign
he and everyone else saw him not as his expression, but as a person. jimin is jimin, no matter how he chooses to live his life
just putting this here
ever since, he’s been true to himself. never letting anyone or anything stop him from being his authentic self
you can see how much happier he is now, not hiding. loving himself for what and who he truly is
jimin has come SO far, and i’m so proud of him. it’s hard truly expressing yourself, you feel judged. i’m glad he knows now that you should never change yourself for others. your own personal comfort is the priority, not someone else’s opinion
