After almost 250 matches with hammertime and a 69.64% winrate, I wanted to share some key things to keep in mind as you pick up the deck:
1) mull aggressively to paladin or aid.

this is the most common mistake I see. ppl see a reasonable hand with giver/SFM/hammer and keep on 7 or 6, and then lose. you have 8 equippers, 12 equipments/ways to find, and 23 creatures. mull to the equippers and find the rest later.
1a) ignore rule 1 if you're playing against jund or RB prowess/midrange, where you'd rather their hand disruption take whatever and draw into your equippers later
2) know why you are holding or playing equipment

there is tension bc aid wants you to keep equipment in hand; puresteel sometimes wants you to keep in hand (to draw cards), other times to play early (to have metalcraft when it enters play to equip while you have priority)
3) artifact count is very important to track and plan

it's not always correct to crack bauble t1, esp if you have a paladin in hand and only 1 other artifact. if you are setting up to cast puresteel and equip, make sure you have metalcraft when it hits the field.
4) keep in mind the auriok nonbo with puresteel and lurrus

because auriok triggers on ETB it gives opponent priority to remove paladin or lurrus before you can either equip or cast a spell. but with aid out you can cast hammer from GY w/ flash.
5) don't automatically play your 0 drops on t1 vs red decks

if you have aid / 0 drop / hammer vs a red deck it can be correct to hold it a turn until you can protect it. vs the red decks you have a lot of agency in forcing them to hold up mana, so be patient
6) you can give inkmoth flying after it's equipped

this is i think common knowledge by this point but some people still miss it. if you reactivate an equipped inkmoth it will gain flying again and soar to victory
7) if you give your creature pro white you can't use sigarda's aid to equip it that turn
8) watch out for the damage on your creatures as you move equipment around postcombat

a cool play I did recently was attack an 11/12 SFM into a dryad arbor for a forced block, unequipped so it would die, then bought it back with lurrus to be able to get a shadowspear.
