that are essentially making shit up that pushes the agenda of the institution, the state, and their own careers. Theory is used out of context. History is presented selectively. Thought is discouraged. Academia itself IS anti-intellectual. An anti-intellectual response will (2/3)
only legitimize these institutions. I have learned so much more from reading, self-taught friends, podcasts, etc. than I did in 4 years of schooling. "Academic speak" IS anti-intellectual. These people are not usually well read or educated, they're just credentialed. (3/3)
