She started bleeding in between period, she lost so much blood that her PCV (Blood Level) was 15%, then they rushed her to the hospital...
And this bleeding was caused by the fibroid, it's one of the symptoms, others include:
- lower abdominal pain
- Increased menstrual pain

Her church doesn't believe in blood transfusion and the husband didn't even want to hear about it

- There is increased chances of fibroid growth in women aged 30 and above.

- It's more in blacks compared to whites

Fibroids can't be prevented and it's not all of them that come with symptoms.
Those without symptoms shouldn't be bothered but if its symptomatic, see your doctor biko...

I just told him, his wife is my patient not him, she is above 18 and was in her right frame of mind when she signed the consent form
