Brigid is a triple goddess – the goddess of healing symbolised by water, goddess of the alchemical force of fire, & goddess of poetry. For #BrigidsDay we will invoke her healing powers in an epic #Herstory light show honouring the victims & survivors of the #MotherAndBabyHomes
From the shadows into the light, iconic landmarks will illuminate in honour of the mothers and children who suffered in the #MotherAndBabyHomes; featuring the portraits of survivors by photographer Karen Morgan & powerful haiku poems by @everose777

“Oh Ireland, my first and only love, Where Christ and Caesar are hand in glove!” wrote James Joyce, over a century ago.
This year the #Herstory Light Show journeys into the very heart of Ireland, to awaken the healing powers of Brigid and the compassion to process the wound of the #MotherAndBabyHome scandal.

"There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children" - Nelson Mandela

Ireland is left disturbed and heartbroken by the cruel and inexcusable treatment of mothers and children at #MotherAndBabyHomes.

Their trauma is our trauma.
Throughout the curation process of the 2021 #Herstory Light Show we had to illuminate the #MotherandBabyHomes but also castles and cathedrals, to give the victims royal treatment after the hell they have endured and the humanity they have been deprived of
We are calling on our politicians, senators and government to join us and support Ireland on #BrigidsDay as we process and heal from the #MotherAndBabyHomes trauma, rising to become one of the most compassionate, caring and inclusive countries in the world.
“The goddess Brigid is a bridge, crossing the threshold from pagan to Christian, winter and spring, water and fire, masculine and feminine” - @TreacyOC

Ireland’s matron saint is our 1st recorded abortionist & she was a lesbian, as recorded in The Annals. Brigid may be an anomaly for Catholicism but one thing is for sure, she represents true Christianity: pure kindness and compassion.

In the 21st century, Brigid reemerged as a heroine of the Marriage Equality & Repeal the 8th referendums - extraordinary victories of compassion.

Brigid embodies the ancient triple goddess archetype of water (healing), fire (alchemy) & the Arts.

Our matron Saint represents true Christianity, renowned for her compassionate care for the poor & animals.

The true Christian (Essene) teaching on how to move beyond duality and reach Oneness with all of humanity. Without the feminine the church is a bird with one wing and can't fly.
