I'm forever telling students about the virtues of working with peers. Please to tell you I am totally living this myself. My article with Michelle Bentley (not on Twitter) on Trump's Unpredictability Doctrine will be out any day now.
I spent some time today with @RGuerrina & @KAMWright working on our article, the subject of which may be hush hush still.
@heidi_maurer and I are scheduled this week to continue working up our Teaching and Learning article.
@scepanovic_vera, @drmattbroad and Jan Oster are working together this week and next to produce a pod or vidcast to go along with our Jean Monnet Module on Interdisciplinarity & the EU in the World.
Every single part of these collaborations so far has been a joy. Lots of intellectual prodding, a willingness to change minds when persuaded, great prompts for new readings and just the sheer pleasure of getting stuck into complex subject matter in company with people you like.
Thanks so much to every single one of my current co-authors and past co-editors and co-authors. Gotta give a big mention to @HiskiHaukkala, Jackie Gower and Tatiana Romanova who did nothing but confirm the virtues of collaboration.
Most importantly, with all the stresses and strains of academic life & the ridiculous hours we all work, may I just say, yes, the logistics need to be worked out, finding mutually convenient time is difficult, but there is a payoff ultimately in terms of the sharing of workloads.
"Pleased to tell you" (why are we not allowed to edit tweets).
