Thank you for this topic
Antibiotics stewardship is something we aim to spread

The way antibiotics work, from experiments in labs they have designated time they totally kill the organism

Feeling better doesn't mean organism is totally gone
It means the amount of organism

It means the amount of organism in the blood that was giving the sick symptoms have reduced to a level.

When the drug is stopped.
The remaining organisms try and master the way this drug can work and come up with battle strategy to resist the drug

This is called resistance
2/
In some cases the person can come down with infection immediately again or same infection later

Using same antibiotic might not work because the organisms have mastered it's action & have strategies to prevent it from working

The person can later die or develop complications
3/
This is not even seen only with Antibiotics

Increasing misuse of Antimalarials now is causing the Malaria parasite to be resistant to most drugs and people have died from Resistant Malaria

We hope the public will get to learn that Drugs should be used as prescribed

Thank you
