The thing about being an academic is a need to research or find out more. Listening to a podcast can lead to reading several books and articles. You have to watch yourself or your attention becomes hyper-focused on an unplanned "project."
Next came looking at Facebook groups such as "Feminine Not Feminist." Here are a few of the memes from that site. They show how traditional patriarchal family, idealized stay- at -home motherhood, blends with belief in the superiority of European Anglo Saxon culture.
Then I looked at the website of Noah Revoy who calls for a return to hardcore patriarchy, control of women, & raising children as if they are part of Greek Sparta (toughen them). He also idealizes northern European culture. Revoy is promoted on "Feminine Not Feminist"
I think I've read enough to learn that white nationalism appeals to women who are looking for a "noble cause" and who desire the protection of men. A gateway site is the Facebook group "Feminine Not Feminist." Here women are urged to join the private group "Trad Life Movement."
"Trad Life" (a.k.a. "Traditional Life) then begins to school women in the "noble cause" of racial identity. It plays on both their fears and their ideals of womanhood. Here is the intersection of race and gender in patriarchy. Note the Germanic attire of the young woman.
This movement was one of the supporting forces behind the attempted coup at our Nation's Capitol on January 6th. I cannot copy it, but the "Feminine Not Feminist" site had a meme that read, "Big game at the Capitol today...
Patriots vs Stealers."
