Mohamed Salah.

Top 20 games for Liverpool football club, a thread.

🇪🇬👑
These are just my personal opinions, taking into account his performance and the occasion/quality of opposition.

⬇️
20) Stoke (A), PL, 17/18.

When he came in in the 70th’ it was 1-0 to Liverpool. He played just 23 minutes, but set up a chance and scored two goals, the first being a stunning back post volley, the next being a cool 1v1 finish.
19) Villa (A), PL, 20/21.

Liverpool’s most embarrassing result in recent history, a 7-2 loss. Mo Salah was the only LFC player who could hold is head high after the game, as he did his best to get something out of it. Scored two brilliant goals and created two big chances.
18) Southampton (H), PL, 17/18.

Wasn’t necessarily his best all round performance, but he scored two goals, the first being a classic Salah worldie from outside the box, good enough to get this game on the list.
17) Arsenal (H), PL, 19/20.

He opened the scoring by winning and converting a penalty, he then embarrassed David Luiz near the halfway line, before driving 20 yards and slotting it home to make it 2. Clinical Mo Salah.
16) West Ham (A), PL, 17/18.

Another goal fest in the famous orange kit. Salah opened the scoring with a cool finish, was very dangerous throughout most the game before scoring a stunning goal to see the game finish 4-1 to Liverpool.
15) Crystal Palace (A), PL, 20/21.

One of my favourites, all it took was a 30 minute cameo to show everything he can do. Comes on, sets up a goal, poaches a headed goal, then scorers a classic curled Salah goal from outside the box. Made it look easy.
14) Southampton (H), PL, 19/20.

A perfectly floated through ball to set up Van Dijk early on showed his passing quality. He then went on to score a lovely chipped goal, and followed that up with another goal to see the game finish 4-0.
13) Cardiff (H), PL, 18/19.

Arguably his best creative performance, a nice back heel in the buildup for the first goal, which he scored himself. He then went on to create two big chances, resulting in two assists, including a lovely through ball for Mané’s goal.
12) Maribor (A), UCL, 17/18.

A European night, a Salah masterclass. He showed great defensive work to win the ball and assist the first goal, and was involved in the buildup for the second. He went on to score goals three and four, before coming off in the 57th’.
11) Bournemouth (A), PL, 18/19.

A hat-trick for Mo, with two of them being fantastic solo efforts. His passing ability was also on display, setting up a couple of chances for his teammates. But it was his fantastic goal scoring that led to a 4-0 Liverpool win.
10) Chelsea (H), PL, 18/19.

A big game, so he stepped up. He played a neat one-two in the buildup for the first goal, and created 4 chances across the game. But it was his 53rd minute thunderbolt that makes this game special. His best ever goal in a Liverpool shirt.
9) Huddersfield (H), PL, 18/19.

He was all over them this game, setting up the first goal in minute 1, and creating 5 chances throughout the match. Not surprisingly, he also scored two goals, showing brilliant movement and finishing for both.
8) Napoli (H), UCL, 18/19.

Another big European night, another quality performance. Although he missed a couple of chances, he also created two big chances for his teammates. But it was his brilliant solo goal that won the game, toying with Koulibaly in the process.

Clutch.
7) Spurs (H), PL, 17/18.

A game all about big moments. He opened the scoring in the third minute, pressed intensely all game, but it was his stoppage time genius that made us go wow. Speed, close control and a cool head saw him score one of his best Liverpool goals.
6) City (H), PL, 17/18.

A win against the centurions, Salah looked neat and tidy all game, setting up teammates and beating players. He assisted Sadio Mane for the third goal, following that up with the famous 35-yard chip over Ederson.
5) City (H), UCL, 17/18.

Another win against the centurions. This game saw Salah & co tear city apart. Mo opened the scoring with a lovely finish, going on to set up Mane’s goal with a pin point cross. He created 4 chances in total, in one of the biggest games of the season.
4) Everton (H), PL, 17/18.

Only played 70 minutes, but Salah managed to register 6 successful dribbles, 6 chances created, 13 shot-creating actions and oh, win the Puskas award for his stunning opening goal in the derby. That’s enough to place this game high enough on the list.
3) Leeds (H), PL, 20/21.

Opening day, scored a hat-trick, two being penalties, one being a phenomenal half volley. But it was his overall play that stood out this game, 9 successful dribbles, with 4 chances created. He looked so dangerous every time he touched the ball.
2) Watford (H), PL, 17/18.

4 shots, 4 goals, 2 of them being absolutely breathtaking. Dribbling and creating at his best, using his scary pace to get an assist too. He made a complete mockery of the Watford team that snowy day, giving us one of footballs coolest pictures too.
1) Roma (H), UCL, 17/18.

An attacking masterclass in a UCL semi. Phenomenal link up play all game, scored a screamer to open the scoring, following it up with another goal. He then showed his creative side, setting up goals 3 & 4.

The crème de la crème of his performances.
End of thread.

Hopefully I haven’t missed any obvious ones, there’s a few honourable mentions I could have put in early, mainly his 2 goals vs Leicester when he span Maguire.
