- I can’t put Kittle > Waller in redraft & honestly, I can’t come up with any justification to put him > Waller in dynasty either. He may be the better real-life player, but this is fantasy. The age gap is only 1 year & both production & durability favor Waller.
- Pitts & Fant are the only TE’s I have ranked below 3 that I’m willing to confidently bet on becoming Elite at some point. They’ll have the draft capital & an unmatched combo of size & raw speed (4.50 or faster), which sets them apart from Hockenson/Andrews (4.70/4.67).
- I have no issue chasing potential > production beyond the top-8 & especially beyond the top-18. The production-gap is razor-thin in those tiers, so the potential to elevate into the upper tier is really all that matters.
- I need to gather more intel on Jordan & Freiermuth, but I’m gonna need someone to cool me down if I’m too high... Jordan excites me similar to Fant & so far I like Freiermuth > Kmet as a prospect... but it’s early & I may adjust as I learn more...
But as of now, I don’t mind reaching for Jordan/Freiermuth in startups to ensure getting them on my roster, knowing I could add depth TE15-30 to get me through 2021 if need be...

I want a part of this special TE class.
- Tonyan & Logan Thomas are 17/18 for me but that’s more an indication of how close that tier is than an indictment of them. I’m ranking Engram & Henry above hoping HH re-signs in LA & EE fixes the dropsies in a (hopefully) improving NYG offense.
- The final tier is really just prioritizing upside. Gimme the high-ceiling/low-floor of a freak athlete like OJH, Albert O, or Njoku over the low-ceiling/decent-floor of a vet trapped in a run-heavy offense like Austin Hooper.
- TE is definitely not getting deeper at the top, but I can’t remember ever hating TE20-30 as little as I hate it now... which isn’t saying much, just that there are more fantasy-backups at TE worth rostering.
- Free Agency, Pro Days, & the NFL Draft will (& should) change my rankings, but this is how I’m operating now that 2020 is over & we’re looking ahead to 2021 & beyond.
- Thanks for reading & I hope I had your favorite TE ranked exactly where you wanted him! (My deepest apologies, George Kittle stans)
