1/ am done listening to all the excuses for white people who continue to support white supremacists. The answer is easy. It’s not “economic anxiety.” It’s not “perceived wrongs.” White people who vote for whites supremacists are ALSO white supremacists.

2/ And these Trump supporting whites supremacists were so keen on making sure their dear leader stayed in power that they were willing to destroy our democracy via disenfranchising mostly black voters in states like Michigan, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

3/ I cannot stress this enough: THEY WERE WILLING TO DESTROY OUR DEMOCRACY in order to keep Trump in power. The Republican leaders who went along with the #BigLie of course knew the truth, but they also wanted Trump to stay in power. They also know their white supremacist base.

4/ The insurrection against the United States on January 6th will be blamed on #QAnon conspiracy theorists who got duped by a rando on the Internet, but make no mistake, it is still all about white supremacy. The Venn diagram of QAnon and white supremacists is a single circle.

5/ White supremacists WANT to believe insane QAnon theories because they paint their dear leader as their savior against people of color, Muslims, and the LGBTQ community. I have been down the QAnon rabbit hole. At the end of every tunnel is white supremacist ideology.

6/ by all means, reach out to your friends and family members to try to bring them back from brink. But as you do so, if you don’t talk about systemic racism, you’re wasting your time. They will fall for the next white supremacist cult that promises to keep white people in power.
