#CFC’s sacking of Frank Lampard and his reported replacement Thomas Tuchel provide an opportunity to consider whether Tuchel will pass @FA’s Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) criteria to obtain a GBE and, ultimately, a visa.

Unlike the GBE criteria applicable to men’s players, the GBE criteria applicable to men’s managers is much simpler. There are 4 requirements Tuchel will have to satisfy.
1. Tuchel must have ‘Overall Responsibility’ for #CFC’s first team.
‘Overall Responsibility’ means ultimate responsibility and decision-making authority for the first team and first-team selection (even if assisted by others, e.g. assistant manager).
Unlikely to be an issue.

2. Tuchel must hold a UEFA professional licence.
3. The applicant club ( @ChelseaFC) must not have an existing manager. So, #CFC's sacking of Lampard ticks this requirement.
4. Tuchel must have:
Managed a club in a ‘Top League’ for the ‘Prescribed Time’; OR
Managed an international team for the ‘Prescribed Time’ which had an ‘Aggregated FIFA World Ranking of 50 or above for the entire Prescribed Time’.
Option 1 is relevant consideration.

‘Top League’ means any league in Band 1-Band 5. Band 1 includes, for example, @premierleague, @Bundesliga_EN and @Ligue1_ENG. Band 5 includes, for example, @Superligaen and @_Ekstraklasa_. Quite the range (no offence intended).
‘Prescribed Time’ means
A cumulative total of 36 months; OR
A consecutive total of at least 24 months
within the ‘Reference Period’.
‘Reference Period’ means the 5-year period immediately prior to the date of application for GBE from @FA.

Over the last 5 years from today (back to 25 January 2016), Tuchel has managed:
@PSG_English for 29 months (1.7.18 to 29.12.20)
@BlackYellow for 16 months (from 25.1.2016 (five-year limitation) to 30.5.2017).
Cumulative total of 45 months over the ‘Prescribed Period’.

So, 
for Tuchel means GBE from @FA, #CFC can then assign to Tuchel a Certificate of Sponsorship, and Tuchel can then make his visa application. Unlikely to be any issues with visa application.
