responsibility to step up their actions along with other imperialist countries that have historically contributed the most to the doom that the climate crisis is bringing. The US has never done enough in the global fight against the crisis, not w/ Obama, & definitely not w/ Trump

and Biden rejoining the #ParisAgreement is simply a symbolic act that means nothing if it is not paired with real, concrete, and direct plans and actions.

For both the leaders of the Philippines and the US: we demand #NoMoreEmptyPromises. US, we shun your vague net zero by 2050

targets that mean absolutely nothing, especially to us in the most affected regions, when action needs to start today. Everyone is still acting as if everything is fine and dandy, as if we have all the time in the world.

What's not clicking about how the greed of the elite few that leaders so staunchly protect will bring pain, suffering, and death to millions? It has already started. We have been clamoring for justice and action for so long and we will not stop.

This is a matter of life and death, and I refuse to compromise for your money.

To the Philippine government, especially to President Duterte, who keeps spewing out climate justice rhetoric but continues to allow the imperialist plunder of our lands: all you've done with your position is make people suffer. Your term has the highest killings of environmental

defenders. Your constant focus on suppressing the voices of activists have brought nothing but devastation to our land. Your time is up. We are in a #ClimateEmergency and a #PlanetaryEmergency. We have no time for incompetent & evil leaders.

Everyone now has this duty to fight.

We need to fight for our lives. We need to do everything in our power to pressure our national and global leaders, the businesses, the banks, and every single aspect of society, to PRIORITIZE THE CLIMATE CRISIS, because THIS IS THE MOST PRESSING PROBLEM WE HAVE. If you don't see

it that way yet, then you are just to privileged to do so, but you will see it soon -- and then it will be even worse, and we will be powerless to stop things. The time to act is now.

Global North countries need to begin their just transition, stop emitting, and pay reparations

to the Global South for the historical injustices, pain, and devastation brought upon us by their greed.

Global South countries need to reject imperialist plunder and overextraction of our lands.

This is not an exaggeration.

The world as we know it today will come to an end one way or another. We need to unite collectively and demand for concrete action, for the divestment of fossil fuel industries, for annual climate binding targets, for justice.
