It's remarkable that *one year later* we're seeing the same mistakes play out with the UK strain as with original covid. Europe is getting hammered and locking down harder than ever and we're over here opening up like it won't also do the same thing here.

Denmark is now sequencing *every positive test* in order to closely track the spread of B117. The US, on the other hand, is only sequencing POINT three percent. We're so close to being through this and yet this awful highly contagious varient is spreading and, *just like one year ago almost to the day* we arent doing enough to stop it now before it has overwhelmed us.
Start paying attention again if you haven't been. Tighten up your protocols. Reduce your interactions and time indoors. Upgrade your masks and/or start double-masking. Take care and be safe.
