Early 2000’s nostalgia is growing, in the next 5-7 years there’s gonna be a huge resurgence in early 2000’s culture

Let’s look at some examples (thread)
Example 1: Nelly trending today 1/25/21

Let’s look at this for example, Nelly, one of the greats from that era, is trending because people are reminiscing on him, and his music, and his influence within that era
Example 2: Avril Lavigne going back to her style

Avril recently hopped onto a collab with @MODSUN, and it’s super interesting to note it sounds as if it could’ve existed during that era, and is super similar to the sound she used during that period
Example 3: Mission in Snowdriftland

This is a flash game that Nintendo released in the mid 2000’s and again in 2010 , it went missing for almost a decade until it was found through a private link, it’s now being ported to steam (credit: @itsnicktendo)
Example 5: Y2K Aesthetic

Y2K aesthetic is an interesting one, it’s based around the styles of early 2000’s artistic styles, among other things, here’s an example of something during the 2000’s era and something from today (credits to @itsPiNKII and @therealredman)
Example 6: Detox might actually release

The notorious Dr. Dre album that was supposed to release during the mid 2000’s but was victim of Dre’s perfectionism, might be coming back according to this insta post (which has now been edited with the hashtag taken out):
Example 7: Rina Sawayama’s Album “SAYAYAMA”

I mean just listen to it it’s a great record, but the sound is very much reminiscent of the early 2000’s while being updated for modern times:

Example 8: Gwen Stefani coming back with a new single

Let Me Reintroduce Myself is literally supposed to be her revisiting original old her, aka, going back to that sound she used during her era in the 2000’s, I mean it literally sounds like it coulda been released in that era https://twitter.com/gwenstefani/status/1345038511607463936
Example 9: Me

Nigga my album that’s gonna come out this year was created to be an ode to the early 2000’s while modernizing it a bit, here’s a little snippet from it, and I plan on spreading this sound around in the next few years https://twitter.com/jianisbrawny/status/1352087784530604033
Example 10: Kim Possible and Hey Arnold came back for a moment

While Hey Arnold did come out during the mid 90’s, it was still well apart of the 2000’s culture, especially with the first movie, same with Kim Possible, both had revival movies, 1 was great, 1 was trash lol
Conclusion: look a lot of this is very circumstantial evidence and my point isn’t to say 2000’s nostalgia is here now- more so that it’s starting to grow, which is why I say it’ll be here within the next 5-7 years, I’m just calling it now
