1/9 - #ICON is a #blockchain protocol for Decentralized Applications and #Interoperability. It supports smart-contracts with #Python, #staking and is already interoperable with other #Ethereum and some other chains through @Orbit_Chain.
2/9 - With #ICON 2.0: #Batang, a major upgrade is in the works with a new software architecture based on @golang . #Interoperability will come as a standard to support and power cross-chain #DeFi solutions - with all the necessary smart-contracts and #relayers

4/9 - Among the projects worth having a look at, you might want to check https://balanced.network/ - the #DAO to create tokens pegged to real-world assets
5/9 - Although #DeFi deserved some space. #ICON goes beyond #DeFi. There are already many use cases. Universities such as POSTECH are using #broof to issue #blockchain certificates. Jeju island uses #ICONLOOP to track #Covid.
