That Athletic article on Chelsea was so good. It does highlight though that working at Chelsea, is not an environment conducive to any support or backing. It feels like Lampard was thrown into a cauldron of fire, without any backing (not talking monetary wise).
Breakdown of relationship with Marina, Cech being so close to the club, going against his desired targets bar Chilwell, ignoring pleas to get Declan Rice. Seems like Lampard was never really the ideal appointment after Sarri - more that he was convenient (as they said)
One strength of Tuchel at least is that he's said to be a good man manager so, he needs to make sure he talks to every player. However, I can envisage him falling out with this board too.
