Naglesmann is good but pretty much inexperienced. Even AVB had won the Europa league and the Portuguese treble at Porto with big players like Falcao, James Rodriguez, Hulk & Moutinho. Still, he struggled to hold himself in England and at Chelsea.
It would have been a huge risk to bring him in especially after an English favourite like Lampard has been sacked and the dressing room could even become more tensed
More so, Thomas Tuchel has done everything that Naglesmann is currently doing in Germany and more. It was Tuchel who mentored Naglesmann as a coach by making him his scout.
There's nothing that Naglesmann knows that Tuchel isn't aware of. Tuchel has a strong expertise in developing talents. It is said that Tuchel when first interviewed by Marina, knew names and positions of the Chelsea academy players.
He is that much involved in developing the young players, which is the current project the club wants to embark. Tuchel would not have sent a top talent like Tomori on loan.
