The Dutch riots in a video on Weibo by Chinese media outlet Guancha. And the comment sections fill up with sarcasm, "isn't the free and civilized Europe great?"

One person jokingly comments that the riots started since Dutch media interviewed Fang Fang, who wrote about the lockdown situation in her 'Wuhan Diary'. Fang Fang, who's become controversial in China for her covid19 writing, was featured in Dutch newspaper NRC three days ago.
By now, the "Dutch anti lockdown riots" hashtag page has been viewed over 150 million times on Weibo.
A recurring comment on Weibo, appearing all over in various wordings, is why in the midst of this pandemic these people apparently "value freedom more than life itself," with others saying this is an issue of protesting for "personal freedom versus group freedom."
Another perspective added is that of Europe being caught in vicious COVID19 cycle: the government takes ineffective and/or late measures, the people then protest and resist these measures, and in this cycle, it's impossible to reach Chinese levels of disease prevention & control.
(Should add this was commented in response to Dutch riots by @菜鸟军虫, blogger on military affairs with 1.7 million fans, quote:
"现在是整个欧美都陷入了严重新冠疫情灾难中。西方政府措施不力,民众对抗政府的防疫措施。由此恶性循环,西方从根本上难以达到中国的防疫水平,已无力回天")
