Nobody talks about keeping sex slaves unironically except a delusional teenager.
But there is an elephant in the room that no one is addressing.

It's prostitution and rapes in barracks. Especially in military bases that are stationed abroad.
So here is the deal. The West is perfectly okay with the existence of pornographic platforms because it encourages people to seek outlets for their sexual desires.
And furthermore there is a gross misunderstanding of pre-modern slavery. Slaves certainly didn't enjoy being subject to what they were. But they certainly weren't raped or abused. At least in most cases in the Islamic world.

There were penalties for mistreatment of slaves.
Now this is not to say we revive the institution of slavery.

The point is Islam as a whole acknowledges pragmatic realities. It doesn't make people aspire to what is impossible.

Such as celibacy.
Celibacy is heavily discouraged in the Islamic tradition and for better or for "worse" Islamic Fiqh acknowledges realities of human desires. It's not uncommon for people to take certain Hadiths out of specific contexts and make a molehill out of a mountain.
The fact of the matter is today, dealing with our sexual desires remains one of the biggest challenges. Something even marriage can't seemingly solve in a significant number of cases because of how pornography has warped sexual psychology.
And this is without getting into the sexual abuses that's common in institutions(military, civilian, otherwise).

There are broader questions that people need to be answered.

The West proposes that sex work should be normalized and regulated.
To me, that's actually worse than sexual slavery as slaves in Islam are also considered part of the family. Where prostitution is just money in exchange for sex.

Sex with concubines was allowed(rape was not for the record) https://abuaminaelias.com/dailyhadithonline/2013/02/06/umar-zina-adultery-prisoner/
While that's all well and good modern cases in Saudi reveals the practical side of how owners can abuse their slaves by circumventing the law and to me it shows the perfect reason for why slavery as an institution shouldn't be revived.
But again, there are broader questions in modern society that need answering. And those who make an issue of contextual realities that every honest historian acknowledges as part and parcel of pre-modern societies are not really addressing any of those broader questions.
Ghaneema fantasies of Muslim teenagers who play too much RTS and RPGs don't answer those questions either.

So we need to assess our modern realities and map out something that truly benefits the masses at large rather than wasting time with dishonest ideologues and—
setting absurd standards for people which is basically setting them up for failure.

Again, I don't think polygamy or slavery is a solution.

But I do think modernity is ignoring an endemic problem.
For which in its current state, no institution can offer any coherent solution.
