Spring semester 2021. #notanormalsemester #zoomuniversity. At least 6 of my students have #Covid_19
and are symptomatic. They cough (muted) through zoom bc they don't want to get dropped from class

When I tell them deadlines are target dates, but it's #2021 and sh*t happens, they tell me all their other courses have strict late penalties.
As my kids wander in to say hi, and I tell them it's ok if they are sharing space with family, 1 student tells me last semester she was on zoom & a classmate walked off camera. Her mother, who has dementia, had walked out of the house. The prof said it was disrespectful.
Most said they felt #unmotivated. That they don't know #timemanagement for online classes. To be clear: the problem isn't motivation.
You're fatigued by almost a year of #quarantine, exhausted caring for family members and doing online classes, while also working and risking your health, and grieving loved ones.
You are NOT the problem. The system/people that act like life is normal right now are the problem
