Meanwhile, my friend called to fuss at me about how phonics is the One True Way and an hour later my dad called to fuss about how Whole Word is the one true way, bc my 5yo (who is not the homeschooled one) is not yet reading.
(The 5yo is fine. She’s just five. But 10???)
