This is referring to the Young Patriots, who cannot be described as “white supremacists” or “white nationalists” in any understanding of the term. There’s plenty of material out there you can access for free, in their own words. They weren’t right-wing populists of any kind https://twitter.com/fiorella_im/status/1353259499008581632
Closest thing I can think of is their use of the Confederate flag alongside Black Power symbols, which was not long-lived, & one of their founders admits was a mistake. They discontinued it a while after working more closely with the Young Lords & Panthers https://jamestracybooks.org/2016/01/28/revolutionary-hillbilly-an-interview-with-hy-thurman-of-the-young-patriots-organization/
Many people associated with YPO were involved with JOIN, an offshoot of SDS before joining the Rainbow Coalition. I’m sure some members likely had some racist beliefs at some point, there were growing pains in their alliance w/ the Panthers—but they were not a right-wing gang lol
looks like the confusion is coming form this article here that has some phrasing that makes it sound it like YPO was a racist organization until the panthers came along--that's simply not true. https://theconversation.com/chicago-1969-when-black-panthers-aligned-with-confederate-flag-wielding-working-class-whites-68961
