My takeaways from this really informative thread:

-AV's trust in his D has plummeted compared to last year.

-Niskanen not being here has forced some D (ie. Sanheim) to play above their head, resulting in panic plays by being overwhelmed.

While the coaching style does need to change, I disagree that it is the primary reason that the Flyers are losing. Niskanen (and Myers) not being here has forced a lot of defensemen to play mins they simply can't hack, therefore neutralizing their ability to drive play up the ice
If the Flyers were to play like last year with this group, you would have guys like Hagg and Gus trying to push the play against oppositions that would like force turnovers.
