Please stop focussing on the fetishism and leather of it all. Also, stop with the evil. It's just so common and so boring at this point, which is depressing.

Pain is a part of healing right? Maybe those gods have healing houses?

Pain is also a lesson, right? If I burn myself, it hurts, cause my body wants me to stop touching the damaging thing.

So maybe the worshippers of that god go out for their way to fund schools, and education, or are keepers of knowledge.
