I'm going to be in the minority here, and I'm sure some "Digital PR" person to start popping off in the menchies, but if you are creating content like this (1), to help sites like this (2) it's only a matter of time before your entire offering gets a big reality check from Google
Why is a title loan site creating content about TV finales? Because it's a way to get links since their offering is unsavory. Does nothing for the customer and is not related to their product. It's just an SEO play. This *might* work right now, but it's living on borrowed time.
We may not be there yet, but Google doesn't want to reward the site that hires the best "digital PR" team, they want to reward the site that will result in the best customer experience. If scammy offerings and bad vendors rank, it will lead to users eventually not trusting Google
And things seem to be going great for the Title Max site, links are skyrocketing while rankings for their most important page are declining 🤡:
Campaigns like this are bought by brands is due to an assumption that they work, and when they don't work, many assume they just need more links. The whole system is broken, and shit like these off topic digital PR campaigns are dubious at best.
Now, if Sleep8 did a study on how poor most people sleep, and visualized it, or if Fire&Kettle did a round up of the celebrities that do keto, I'd say that's totally fine + smart. But TV series ratings for a site to sell your car title? GTFOOH
On a side note: if you are someone making this content, really ask yourself if this is how you want to spend your career - propping up websites designed to get the most unsophisticated consumers that are already having financial trouble into deep debt spirals.
