Nicola Sturgeon was still blaming care home prioritisation for Scotland lagging behind England on the coronavirus vaccine today. Yet England has massively increased daily numbers over the last five days as it rolls out to care homes, while it has gone backwards in Scotland.
Here’s the figures for first dose per day

Scotland
19/1: 25327
20/1: 24962
21/1: 23583
22/1: 22213
23/1: 23371

England
19/1: 298373
20/1: 318151
21/1: 357563
22/1: 424478
23/1: 443330
Cumulative total for England is now 5,529,101.
If Scotland had same pace, by population share it would be 563,323. Instead, it is only 404,038.
There is actually a slight typo in this tweet: if Scotland had the same pace as England, by population share there would have been 536,323 vaccines so far (not 563,323).

So the number of vaccines is 132,285 behind where it should be if it was going at the same pace as England
