Everyone should understand that queerplatonic is an option, which functionally means any relationship dynamic you want is an option, you just gotta talk it through.

Relationships do not have to fit into a romantic/platonic binary.

And, you know, if you want a romantic relationship, but don't want to do things that are commonly determined as Things People In Romantic Relationships Do, you can...do that two?

Relationships are not a checklist, they're a blank canvas. Imprint your own self on it.

You can do whatever you want with another consenting adult (or a teenager if you're a teenager?) and call it whatever you freaking want to!

The trick with relationships is finding people who want the same things with you as you want with them. Assigning your wants to the "appropriate" people doesn't have to be a factor.

You don't have to whittle down your desires and file off the edges to sort them appropriately if you don't want to do that. That's hard to do! It will probably leaving you longing and wanting and miserable.

You just gotta find people who click with what you already want.

TL;DR: Commit to relationship anarchy.

Addendum: You can have queerplatonic alterous feelings for someone at the same time as romantic and platonic feelings for both the same person and other people. they are a whole other thing, not just a bridge between the two. Just like you can be friends AND lovers with someone.

Anyone who tells you that you can't feel a way about a person or want a thing with someone probably wrong whatever their reasons are.
