There's 1 thing in vending that determines how successful your machine will be
& that's the location
It's simply a #'s game
If the location doesn't gross $800+ per month, I typically sell it
Here's things 6 that I look for

1. # of People
Motels / Hotels: 100+ rooms
Apartments: 150+ rooms
Business: 100+ employees if open 24/7 & 7 days a week. If not, 150+
Motels, hotels, & apartments are my best accounts

2. Type of People
My niche is low income
Why? Based on my experience, this consumer typically drinks a few cokes a day
I like to sell coke - my margins are 67% on that product so it works out well

The low income niche would include, but not limited to:
Senior living, assisted senior living, homeless centers, rehab centers, motels, veterans homes, apartments
Others to consider:
Factories, hospitals, jails, schools, retail, anything blue collar

3. Understanding Your Consumer
This is something you'll need to figure out post sale, but get to know your people
Meet their demand with supply
I live in San Diego, so guess what, there's a lot of hispanic people, so I vend spicy Cheetos, Jumex, & other relevant items

4. Type of Building
You want to look for buildings with centralized access points or in other words, a main lobby that everyone uses to enter & leave
Other things to consider: parking lot size, # of floors, location of building (city vs rural)

5. Placement of Machine Inside Building
My goal is for them to pass by my machine for breakfast, lunch, & dinner
Increased impressions = increased conversions
Take an apartment for example
Laundry room, no
Front lobby next to elevators, yes
Once a week thing vs. everyday

6. Inside vs. Outside
Outside, you're relegated to a stacker unless there is overhead coverage
Inside, you can place glass face drink machines & vend higher ticketed items, or in other words, make more money
I know vendors who do $3k + with a single glass face machine
