Thread: is it just me, or is weird when YT SWer posts ''top 5% etc on OF''. It creates this weird competition between SWers, and especially doesn't help SWers who are more marginalized feel better. It's also along the same lines as boasting about your hourly rate as an escort...
like good for you that you made it to the top 5%, we already know that as BIPOC SWers we won't get to those percentages ever because of this wild YT cis ableist heteronormative culture we live in.
Why not make be a bit more subtle? or is it just to remind us that we will never get to your level? I have no idea. but it just feels really fucked every time I see that.
we already know also that BIPOC SWers don't make the same coin as you, so why further rub it in our faces?
Also I don't know how to do a properly make a thread, I am clearly still not fully twitter ready after more than 3 years.
