as a natural historian she likely knew all the good ways to snuff out the life of tiny animals without breaking the skin and yet we must admire her restraint at never including this information in any of her books
I am the farthest thing from an expert but this woman experimented on sheep to cure their diseases and then sat down to write about squirrel nutkin and I think that's just dandy
some people will fight me on this but I do believe all the best childrens books come from a place of darkness
