Selfish being the keyword here, means in these situations. Dekus was thinking of himself, what HE wanted. But you know that.
Deku is usually selfless in alot of the fights he's in. Wanting to help/save the other person or someone else, without thinking about what he's doing to himself

My point is, I think Bakugou along with Deku's fresh Injuries is gonna play a part in Deku realising that he needs to rethink his self sacrificial side and take himself into account more *drops mic and runs away*
