Mushoku Tensei Episode 3 Thead.
Don't expect a very in-depth view of the episode for these, @blonkevnoci will be your man for those, since they will be as laid back as possible.
Still no true OP for this episode but we got a showcase of the locations around the village and how Rudeus is spending his days learning and improving himself after Roxy left.
It's still amazing how good this artstyle looks for the backgrounds.
Good interaction to show how Rudeus has grown past his fear of the outside + his parents reaction to this builds up on their expressions during episode 2 and how different Rudeus is acting now.
His trauma of the outside may be gone but doesnt mean all of his fears are gone + it made for a quick laugh for those watching.
Nothing really to say here. Sylph is just a pure ball of sunshine in elf form
The dynamic shift on this scene is nothing besides amazing.
Rudeus, with his older mind, can't help but seeing Paul as a child for him lashing out without giving him time to explain his side of the story and even when Paul tries to redeem himself during this conversation (1/?)
(2/?) Rudeus doesnt let up his argument against him, basically stripping his logic naked of counter-arguments and forcing Paul to face his own mental immaturity as a young parent and some of his past mistakes.
(3/?) Meanwhile Paul can see how him and Rudeus share the same moral high ground but that's exactly why both can't budge in these type of situations
A good example of how even if your magic system is simple, if you are creative enough, you can still obtain some complex products out of basic elements
Paul's growth as a parent during this episode is so good. He goes from someone who tries to be a good parent because he has to be one to someone who actually listens to his children first and then act upon it in order to both improve his son and himself.
All in all, this was once again a great episode and it confirms some of my theories that Eris should show up around episode 5 if the show keeps up this pace.
