Ok fine I'll say it: Shipping Men because they show *some* chemistry together/ are presented in media as have a firm and close friendship is *bad* because it undermines the already limited portrayals of non-toxic male friendships that exist https://twitter.com/BadSocialism/status/1353399074502934528
If you can't see men in fiction having strong friendships without making it romantic you don't then get to wonder why men don't see examples of non-toxic friendships and end up only having shallow relationships with their peers where they are unable to talk about their emotions
This is why I do not like Holmes/Watson shippers. Sorry.

Or Chekov/Sulu shippers for that matter.
If Miles and Julian talking to each other about their emotions and their relationships with other people and valuing the time they spend with each other a lot reads 'romantic' over 'platonic' i think you need to have a lie down
There are a lot of ships that sit *on* the line that I can go either way on but in a world where we are finally beginning to break down toxic masculinity, male friendships that are more deep and nuanced than gym bros, workmates and Bar buddies are important
