Trump's threatened "third party" is funny on a national scale as it'd almost certainly lead to a Dem avalanche for federal positions, but at the local level, it's no joke. They would sweep county and state seats in deep red areas and that is terrifying.
Just yesterday, driving out to my parents in rural MO, people still fly their desecrated American flags with his name/image on it and if you don't think a Trump acolyte pounding the table for a state rep or county commission seat won't win, you're wrong.
Local power leads to national power and these people aren't going away anytime soon. Dems better adjust their message and deliver real results that tangibly change lives or we will, in a way, be helping the rise of fascism through inaction.
