Joseph was hated by his own brothers & sold into slavery by them (for 13 yrs). He resisted the temptation of a beautiful married women & was then falsely accused of rape, lost his job & was wrongfully jailed for 2 years. Yet the 1st thing he does when he gets out is glorify God.

We could all stand to learn some lessons from Joseph.

Let's aim to be so solely focused on God and bringing Him glory that no matter what circumstances we face, the first words out of our mouths are words that bring Him glory and honor.

Also, right after Joseph gets out of jail

The Lord provides Him with a new, even greater position that He already had planned the entire time. Joseph even dreamed it years previously to being sold by his brothers.

God honors our faith in His provision.

Lord, help us to glorify You even in painful circumstances.
