Carter’s teammate Javonte Williams increased his stock a huge amount this season, and it’s led Carter to flying a little under the radar. Have a couple thoughts after watching a handful of games on him. A thread...
Expected to measure in around 5’9” and 195 lbs, Carter has some college production of his own to show off even with Williams breaking out.
FR - 559 yards 8 TDs
SO - 597 yards 2 TDs
JR - 1003 yards 3 TDs
SR - 1245 yards 9 TDs

Film watched:
Miami, Syracuse, FSU
Initial thoughts: it’s easy to initially write Carter off as “undersized” but you don’t see that when you watch the tape. He’s more than willing to run the ball inside, and shows off some impressive vision and patience behind the LOS.

What I can away most impressed with was Carter’s contact balance. This play against Miami showcases some of my favorite traits of Carters: vision to hit the hole, nimble feet in the open field to make a defender miss, contact balance through the tackle attempt

Would have liked to see more involvement in the passing game as it does feel likely he profiles as part of a committee at the next level. There will be some size concerns for someone to trust him as their lead RB IMO.

Definitely underrated from being overshadowed by Williams, Carter is primed to be a rookie draft value. Landing spot will be important, but with the inevitable run or WRs If he falls to late round 2 or further I would be thrilled to have him.
