BTW a lot of you have some really bad misconceptions of how someone becomes a political pundit. As an extreme minor leaguer in this let me tell you the qualification necessary: Have an opinion, be clear about that opinion.
Thats it. The idea that pundits are being vetted etc is fantasy.
Pundits are who they are because most people are wishy-washy and dont really pick a lane. Pundits say their lane is the right lane and most people arent willing to do that and many cant articulate that.

Normal person: There’s a lot of ways to get to the supermarket.
Pundit: This is the only route to the supermarket and if we don’t take it, everyone will starve.

(And it’s not just politics. Many people simply can’t articulate why they loved or hated a movie. Pundits can and have the ego to say so.)
