I lost my Dad when I was younger, today is the anniversary.

I thought I’d share some memories of him being brilliant.

A thread 1/7
Once we drove past an older man with Parkinson’s who was in the street struggling to put his belt on. Dad stopped the car, got out and put his trousers and belt on for him.
We couldn’t afford tickets for all of us to go to the theatre so when I was 7, he let my friend and I watch “Cats” the musical and he waited outside in the foyer. He got us ice cream in the interval and waited outside until the show ended to take us home.
He ended up being in charge of the Chelsea football club at our local pub even though he supported Man U.
He made me buy German biscuits from Lidl for my (soon to become) best friend at school because she was German and he though she might be homesick.
He always danced in front of the TV when the Top of the Pops theme tune started much to my annoyance.
Thanks for reading and giving him a thought today, he was just the best. X
