Really like Tort’s as a Coach and I enjoy how his team plays on the ice. You see his fiery competitiveness in his player’s performances. There is a wise saying: “Praise in public and criticize in private”. Nobody likes to be humiliated in public.

In a workplace environment, a Manager or leader in any capacity would face serious repercussions for employee harassment, why is the sports environment any different? Why has the NHLPA not addressed this with the league?

Is there a workplace harassment policy in the NHL to protect players from being harassed? If not, it’s 2021 and we have learned the need for a healthy workplace environment. There is a better way, Emotional Intelligence is a skill of all high performers.
