I don't know if it's because of the win, or Ashwin's videos, or something else, but the Indian team has been much more accessible and open after this series. A spate of video and text interviews by the players and staff, which shows us details and a human side of these players +
That we've seldom seen before.

Previously, the team has been a closed box with pretty much a siege mentality towards the media (understandably so), with the only info being Shastri/Kohli interviews, which are either too hyperbolic or too sanitised. +
This has led to endless theories about what exactly goes on behind closed doors, and criticism of "executive decisions" like selections.

This series has shown that there's nothing sinister going on, and this is a happy, well-managed side with a great setup.

+
Now I don't know if the continuous overseas losses made the team defensive in their stance previously, and a win like this is really pushing them to open up to the fans without fear. Could very well be that. And it's understandable too - fans are a fickle and irrational bunch.

+
Whatever it is, I'm really happy that the team has decided to chat more about their internal processes, and people like Ashwin have taken the creation of content in their own hands, cutting out the media middlemen. I wish they trusted the good parts of the media (cricinfo etc) +
So that there's a healthy flow of information between them, the media and the fans.

Many technical nuances and actual dynamics remain hidden from the fans because coverage is so poor and media interactions are so polished for PR management.

This can change. I hope it does.
But currently I'm just enjoying this wealth of information from the inner sanctum of Indian cricket.
