Some flat earthers literally believe the Moon and/or planets/stars are a *projection* in the sky designed to trick us. Next time you engage with a flat earther who is vigorously questioning minor details about a real space image, save your time & ask them what they really believe
If you do debate a flat earther, and I don't recommend it, always be kind and civil... you don't want to push them over the edge...
Generally on here, I find flat earthers will not say their real "big picture" view even if you ask them multiple times. I strongly believe it's because they realise how absurd it will sound, but maybe they just haven't thought about it
A key question from the outset, if wanting to genuinely reach one, is to ask if they think the Moon is real, the stars, planets. Ask if planets are speherical and if not, how can Jupiter be seen with a $1000 telescope to be rotating in 10hrs. Generally they get angry there though
or... "spherical"

Since I made that typo I am no longer credible and the Earth must obviously be flat
And this little rant comes after 10+ years of 1000s of comments from flat earthers. It is not uncalled for by any means.

It is not unique to America or UK, I've had flat earther replies from people around the globe... e.g. Australia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Germany, France
I mean, they have such compelling arguments.. https://twitter.com/swigw/status/1353468460140007424?s=19
