I have very strong feelings about these pavilions at either end of the west side of Grey Street. Both probably designed by John Wardle (1792-1860).
The Portuguese novelist and diplomat José Maria de Eça de Queirós lived in the building on the right in the 1870s, above what is now Blake’s Coffee Shop. /cc @MacaesBruno
