Cadangan Raspberry Pi ni, dia camni eh, pada pandangan seorang guru.

Cost wise, ye effective. We can cater more needs than laptop. You can say "Takyah troubleshoot, tukar je lah SD card. Ajar 5 min je".

Kau gi tanya anak luar bandar, SD card tu amende, troubleshoot tu amende.
You can teach about Raspberry Pi in 5 mins, but only to those who have medium-to-high IT literacy.

Some don't even know how to type in bullet form in Word. Jangan cerita lah function Excel, PPT. Kalau dia takde access to laptop, don't expect them to understand these things.
Privileged kids macam aku, kecik-kecik main lukis-lukis conteng dalam Paint. So aku familiar dengan MS Office as early as Darjah 1.

Aku terkejut bila suami aku cakap, childhood dia tak camtu. Then I realized I was living a different, different life than his.
I totally understand where you rpi people coming from. You want to help more kids, yes. But sometimes you have to view the issue in a different angle, get outside of your comfort zone (status, knowledge level, etc.)

I learnt a lot from putting myself in others' shoes.
Previous case: I was a huge supporter of PPSMI. I didn't understand why ppl want to learn Sc & Maths in BM. Masuk uni nanti kan, science in English?

Then I had a student who's not speaking Eng. He already flunked in Eng, why would I want to close the door for him to ace Science?
It's better for him to graduate with some understanding about 'Kadar Penyejatan', rather than not understanding 'Rate of Evaporation' at all.

Then the reality hit me. Sometimes the best solutions aren't the best for all. Now I teach science in DLP (dual language program).
I only have 1 thing to promote.

I just started teaching on Instagram & Tiktok: mainly Physics, Science & Maths. There will also be tips & tricks in studying. Jemput follow & bagi feedback! Thank you semua đź’•
