The Leicester Chaucer removal story is obviously NOTHING to do with 'decolonization'. Managerial cuts, as I understand it. are what's going on, and they are using diversity as a cover.
Medieval studies has LONG been targetted by philistines...

It has ZERO, NADA, NOTHING to do with 'decolonization' which, as far as I know, has begun precise in NO UNIVERSITY. The RW will do its hypocrital shrieking but suggest people on left do a little research before they start to whinge about identity politics like rightwingers.
I do not know a SINGLE PERSON who works on decolonization and related who has called for either Chaucer or Shakespeare to be removed.
So DO NOT BLAME this on us.
