I believe this is my first thread in twitter.(I might have made a thread about history of the safavid empire before)

Apostasy Law in Islam.

I have seen many people online explaining apostasy law in Islam. But I wanted to look at it from a different POV. Bismillah.
What most non muslims (and lay muslims too) don't understand about the apostasy law in Islam is that it can be implemented only under a islamic government ruled by the sharia law. And if a person who lives outside the sharia law or lives in a muslim majority secular country then
it is not to be implemented on them. If there is no Islamic government then random Muslims cannot gang up on apostates and act like vigilantes or kill them. Muslims dont have the right to do this. And this is a big misconception about Islam.
Now one may say it is still barbaric and it goes against the freedom of religion.
Now, what many people dont understand is that Islam is not like other religions. It is a deen/way of life. It has a political ideology and it also has a constitution and a different type of Govt.
As I have stated before apostasy law is implemented only under an Islamic Govt. This piece of info makes things a lot more reasonable and understandable. Beacuse when u apostatize under an Islamic Govt ur violating the constitution of your country to the highest degree.
Which Is punishable by death. In fact most secular countries have death penalty for violating/abusing/rejecting the constitution.
I hope my thread will help u understand Islam more clearly. Thank u for reading.
