My Asian-American daughter’s white male English teacher last year taught a 100% white male authored book curriculum. She asked why & he said “I don’t choose books based on the race or gender of the author. I only choose based on quality.” 1/3
When my daughter hears Bernard say that supporting or being a woman or BIPOC candidate is ‘Identity Politics’ & Black votes = Rigging, she hears the same racism: Only white male candidates & writers are legitimate. 2/3
She is 18 & already fed up. Bernard calling civil & human rights for women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC citizens a distraction? Disrespecting Lewis & Cummings & Harris & HRC? She is done. Majoring in PoliSci. She is smart & mad. In a few years The Bros won’t know what hit them. #KHive
